Product Care Guide
Here you’ll find some tips for caring for your Amier Home pieces — but please get in touch with our friendly team if you have questions about caring for a particular item.
-
Wood
Crafted from natural timber, each piece is unique, with its own grain, colour variations, and character marks. Over time, the wood will develop a rich patina, adding to its beauty and individuality.
To keep your piece looking its best:
- Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth.
- Wipe spills immediately to prevent staining.
- Use coasters, placemats, and heat protection.
- Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and excessive moisture.
For coastal homes
Salt air and humidity can affect natural timber over time. Regular cleaning and keeping surfaces dry will help maintain the finish.
Some pieces may benefit from occasional treatment with BeeSeal wax to nourish and protect the wood.

Fabric
Our fabrics are carefully selected for their comfort, texture, and suitability for everyday living. Crafted from a durable blend of linen and polyester, they are designed to withstand daily use while maintaining their beauty over time. Slight variations in weave and tone are part of the fabric's natural character, adding depth and uniqueness to each piece. Available in six distinctive finishes, our fabrics offer both practicality and timeless style.
- Coastal Homes: Humidity and salt air can affect fabrics over time. Regular airing and gentle care will help keep them fresh.
- Care: Vacuum regularly using a soft brush attachment to remove dust and debris. For light marks, gently spot clean with a mild detergent and a damp cloth.
- Spills: Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth. Do not rub, as this can push the stain deeper into the fibres.
- Avoid: Harsh chemicals, bleach, and excessive moisture, as these can damage fibres and colour.
- Protect: Keep out of direct sunlight where possible to prevent fading. Rotate cushions and upholstery regularly for even wear.
- Note: Professional cleaning is recommended for stubborn stains or deep cleaning to preserve the integrity of the fabric.
-
Veneer
Our veneer pieces combine natural timber beauty with a refined, durable finish. Each piece will feature subtle variations in grain and tone.
- Coastal Homes: Humidity and salt air can affect timber over time. Keep surfaces dry and wipe down regularly to maintain their finish.
- Care: Wipe with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. Always dry immediately after cleaning to prevent moisture absorption.
- Spills: Clean spills straight away to avoid staining or surface damage.
- Avoid: Harsh cleaners, excess water, and abrasive cloths, as these can damage the finish or lift the veneer.
- Protect: Use coasters, placemats, and heat protection. Avoid placing hot or wet items directly on the surface.
- Note: Keep out of direct sunlight and away from prolonged moisture exposure to prevent fading or warping over time.
-
Leather
Our leather pieces are crafted to age beautifully, softening over time and developing a unique patina that adds warmth and character to your home. We carefully select premium leathers from both local and international sources, chosen for their quality, texture, and durability. Rich, luxurious, and inviting to the touch, each piece showcases the natural beauty of the material. Our collection is further enhanced by naturally tanned goatskin, celebrated for its distinctive texture and timeless appeal.
- Coastal Homes: Salt air and humidity can dry out or mark leather over time. Keep pieces away from direct exposure and condition regularly to maintain suppleness.
- Care: Dust with a soft, dry cloth. For light cleaning, use a slightly damp cloth and dry immediately. Always test any cleaner on a hidden area first.
- Spills: Blot spills straight away with a clean, dry cloth. Avoid rubbing, as this can spread the stain.
- Avoid: Harsh chemicals, alcohol-based cleaners, and excessive water, as these can damage the surface and finish.
- Protect: Keep out of direct sunlight and heat sources to prevent fading and drying. Rotate cushions or items occasionally to ensure even wear.
- Note: Natural variations in tone, grain, and texture are part of the beauty of real leather and will develop over time.
-
Stone
Our stone pieces are made from natural materials, meaning each one is completely unique in tone, texture, and pattern.
- Coastal Homes: Salt in the air can settle on stone surfaces over time. Regular gentle cleaning will help maintain their natural finish and prevent buildup.
- Care: Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap when needed. Dry thoroughly after cleaning to avoid marks or streaks.
- Spills: Clean spills immediately by blotting—don’t wipe—to prevent staining or absorption.
- Avoid: Harsh, acidic, or abrasive cleaners as they can damage or etch the surface.
- Protect: Use coasters, placemats, and heat protection. Avoid placing hot or heavy items directly on the surface.
- Note: Stone is naturally porous and may require occasional sealing to maintain its finish over time.
-
Outdoor Furniture
Our outdoor furniture is designed to live beautifully outside, while withstanding the elements with the right care.
- Coastal Homes: Salt air, sun, and moisture can all impact outdoor materials over time. Regular cleaning is essential in coastal environments to prevent buildup and extend the life of your piece.
- Care: Wipe frames and surfaces regularly with a soft cloth and mild soapy water. Rinse gently if needed and always dry thoroughly after cleaning.
- Spills & Dirt: Remove spills, dirt, and debris as soon as possible to prevent staining or surface wear.
- Avoid: Harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and high-pressure washing, as these can damage finishes and materials.
- Protect: Use covers when furniture is not in use for extended periods. Store cushions indoors during wet or harsh weather.
- Note: While designed for outdoor use, all materials will naturally age over time when exposed to the elements—regular care will help maintain their appearance and longevity.
