Description

I've Been Here Before explores the mysterious feeling of familiarity that arrives without explanation—the quiet sensation that a place, moment, or encounter has already been lived. Drawing on themes of memory, intuition, and human connection, Natasha Bakhshov invites viewers to reflect on the moments that blur the line between coincidence and destiny.

Using her signature layered acrylic technique, Bakhshov combines bold geometric forms with fluid organic shapes to create a composition that feels both structured and deeply emotive. A harmonious palette of warm earth tones, soft neutrals, and subtle contrasts creates a sense of comfort, while the abstract arrangement leaves space for personal interpretation.

The contemplative figure at the heart of the painting represents our shared search for meaning, reminding us that some experiences cannot be explained logically—they are simply felt. Whether interpreted as déjà vu, a forgotten memory, or an instinctive connection, the work encourages viewers to trust their intuition and embrace life's unexplained moments.

Contemporary yet timeless, I've Been Here Before is a powerful statement piece that celebrates reflection, curiosity, and the invisible threads that connect our experiences. It invites us to consider that perhaps the most significant moments in life are not entirely new, but familiar in ways we are only beginning to understand.

Her Journey

Now based in Marbella, Spain, Natasha was born in London, where her passion for art first began. Growing up, regular visits to galleries and museums nurtured her appreciation for creativity and visual storytelling.

Her artistic journey has been shaped as much by her diverse career as by her creative instincts. She began working in television, film and theatre as a makeup and special effects artist, developing a keen eye for detail, character and composition. She later transitioned into London's banking sector, where the discipline and perspective she gained ultimately complemented her development as a self-taught painter. Today, these varied experiences inform her distinctive artistic voice, bringing together technical precision with emotional expression.
