Wrong Place, Right Time by Natasha Bakhshov

Currently based in Marbella, Spain, my journey as an artist began in London where I was born. Regular gallery and museum visits there growing up first sparked my love of art. My journey has been shaped as much by life experience as by creativity itself. I began my career in TV, film and theatre as a makeup and special effects artist, sharpening my eye for character and detail, before later working in London’s banking world – an experience that brought discipline and perspective to my artistic path as a self-taught painter.

I work mainly in acrylics, layering colour until emotion takes form. Bold organic and geometric shapes give my works presence, while I aim to capture fleeting, intangible feelings, like catching a scent carried on the wind.

Looking forward, I am drawn to exploring more powerful and intriguing compositions, particularly around the timeless concept of the “muse” as it appears throughout art and film.
